Questions

How much does it cost to translate a book from Japanese to Traditional Chinese?

US$0.058 per 1,000 characters of text we translate, with a minimum of US$2.99 a book. A typical 90,000-character book costs US$5.30. You see the exact price, and what will and won't be translated, before you pay.

What do I get?

Two EPUB files: a bilingual edition with each Japanese paragraph followed by its Traditional Chinese translation, and a Traditional Chinese-only edition. Chapters, images, links and the table of contents are kept.

How good is the translation?

It is a machine translation by a large language model, checked automatically paragraph by paragraph. This pair is in beta: tested on whole books, with real orders still calibrating it. Read a free sample chapter of your own book before you decide — and anything left untranslated is refunded automatically.

Which books can I translate?

Books you have the right to translate: your own work, a work you hold a translation licence for, a work under an open licence, or one in the public domain. DRM-protected files are refused. Buying an ebook does not by itself give you the right to translate it.

Can I publish the translation?

If you hold the rights, yes — but you must not present it as a human translation, and you are responsible for any rules about labelling AI-translated content where you publish (some stores, such as Amazon KDP, ask you to declare it).
