This website and its translation service are operated by Lampleaf. Contact: support@lampleaf.com.

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy, or any guarantee, warranty or other term, implied or imposed by any law (including the consumer laws of your country of residence) that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

Your rights in what you upload

For each file you upload, you confirm that (a) you are the copyright owner; (b) you hold a written licence that permits translating the work into the selected language for your intended use; (c) the work is licensed under terms that permit translation; or (d) the work is in the public domain in your country of residence and where we operate.

You also confirm that the file was not obtained by removing or circumventing any technological protection measure (DRM), and that it does not contain export-controlled technical data. Buying an ebook does not, by itself, give you the right to have it translated.

Publishing or sharing a translation

The translations we deliver are machine translations produced by AI. If you publish, distribute or otherwise share a translation, you must not present it as a human translation, and you are responsible for complying with any rules that apply where you publish it about labelling AI-generated or AI-translated content.

Our limited licence

You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, copy, process, transmit and translate your content, including through our sub-processors, solely to provide the service to you and for the retention periods in our Privacy Policy. We do not use your content to train AI models.

As between you and us, any rights we may have in the translation are assigned to you; this does not give you any rights in the original work, which remain with their owners.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law: (a) our total liability arising out of or in connection with an order is limited to the greater of the amount you paid for that order and US$100; (b) we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss of profits, publishing opportunity or reputation; (c) where our liability for failure to comply with a consumer guarantee may be limited, it is limited, at our option, to supplying the services again or paying the cost of having them supplied again. Nothing limits our liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, or personal injury caused by our negligence.

To the extent permitted by law, you are responsible for reasonable losses we incur from a third-party claim to the extent caused by your breach of the rights confirmation above or of our Acceptable Use Policy, except to the extent caused by our own fault.
