This policy explains how Lampleaf handles the files and personal information you give us.

Who receives your files

To quote and to translate your files we send their content (which may include personal information contained in the book) to a third-party AI language model provider. This already happens before you pay: to prepare a quote we send parts of the book for analysis, and a sample translation sends one chapter.

Our current provider is located in Singapore and belongs to a corporate group headquartered in China. Files are also processed on our own equipment, and stored with cloud providers in the United States and Australia.

We may change providers; we will update this policy before doing so. You can ask us for the identity of the recipients of your personal information.

How long we keep things

Unpaid uploads are deleted 48 hours after upload. Source files and translations are deleted 7 days after delivery (3 days after a failed order). Samples are deleted after 7 days. You can delete a job at any time from its page, except while it is being translated.

We keep limited records — your email address, order and payment records, your rights declaration, and file hashes — to comply with law and to establish, exercise or defend legal claims. Book text is never written to our logs.
